Ooh, I'm going to dig up that post of hers.

This is a theme that Bach makes so clear to me in One. It is a novel that lays out out how the choices the characters have made changed their lives - and they go and visit their other selves to see where a different choice would have taken them. So fascinating.

Have you seen the movie Sliding Doors? It addresses how one simple thing can change everything, and follows the character along both trajectories.

Oh, I like this. It fits so well with all my own thoughts on self-discovery right now. Lindsay at A Design So Vast recently wrote a post that sparked a discussion about how we have been changed by the choices we have made. I think about this a lot. Where would I be now if I had done any one thing different. I'm not sure how helpful it is to muse about such things, but I do believe that we are better prepared because of the learning and understanding.

I highly recommend it. It influenced me a lot. Richard Bach has a fascinating perspective on life and things. He has written a bunch of books - One is another fave.

Interesting! I haven't read the book, but maybe I should. I ask myself the same questions all the time... Where am I going and what am I doing? Maybe I should stop worrying and wondering and just go with the flow... I'll find out where I'm going when I get there!
