Play, play, play! All day!
It’s winter… and there is no snow. It’s cold and there is nothing outside to play in!
What’s a mom to do? Yup! Indoor playground. Q loves them, and so do I!

Ball pit! (I know they are gross, but he has SO much fun in it, so I grin and bear it!)

Okay….I just found your blog through SITS…..why are ball pits gross? I feel like there’s something I don’t know now. LOL

Well… I have this germ-thing and think that ball pits are just dirty. You never know what kids do in them, and it is near impossible to clean all those balls. I am sure they don’t take them all out and clean them on a regular basis. Gross.

I agree – although kids LOVE them, they really make me cringe. I also hate the indoor playgrounds for that reason – we avoid them like the plague (to avoid the plague!! haha)

I hadn’t thought about the germs in ball pits. I know the bouncy place we go to closes each of its pieces of equipment to clean them. Stopping from SITS!

Q looks like he is having a blast! I love the idea of an indoor play spot! Is it affordable? The ones in NYC can be a little on the pricey side. But this one looks really awesome!

Those are actually different playgrounds. We don’t go to the one with the ball pit very often. The one we frequent is very clean and the woman who runs it keeps on top of it – it also has a maximum age of 4 years, so it’s great for toddlers and babies. They both cost $8.

I took my kids to indoor and outdoor playgrounds all the time and they lived to tell the tale! Good for you.
Came over from SITS.

Thank God for indoor playgrounds! They need to burn off that extra energy! Looks like you had fun. (dropping in from SITS)!

A mom has to do what a mom has to do…but germs were the first thing that ran across my mind. But I am an admitted germaphobe. We’ve got some major cabin fever here so I was so happy when our oldest didn’t have a snow day.

I’m an admitted germophobe, too. I am desperately trying not to pass it on to my son, ’cause I think a lot of time for me, it’s irrational. We avoided them during flu season, but the truth is, he very rarely gets sick and I honestly believe exposure helps his immune system.

we LOVE indoor play areas especially JUMPS! My kids can literally JUMP ALL DAY!
stopping by from SITS and am now a follower

my fave indoor playplace that actually washed the ballpit everyday closed down
I need to find out where that one is in TO though, so that L. can spend some quality time there when we come home this summer! It looks like his kind of place

i love it!
anything to let them get rid of the energy so they aren’t hanging off the chandeliers at home.

Love the playgrounds. I hit up as many as I could while I was home with my 2yo and new baby. Anything was better than being trapped in the house all day!

That looks like so much fun! I have GOT to find an indoor playground around here. My 3 year old is bouncing off the walls and I’m going crazy!

Wonderful! We have an indoor playground nearby, but I haven’t ventured out there yet… perhaps I should!
I’m not sure I could deal with the ball pit though… I’m not a germaphobe with most things but those ball pits squig me out a little.
Stopping by from SITS, have a great weekend!

I loved the ball pits when I was a kid! They are a little gross but they were awesome.

Your son looks like he’s having a great time but I agree with you on the ball pit. I little bit icky.
I wish we had something like that here for my son but sadly there is next to no activities for the under 5 age group.

I was just saying that this morning (while at the indoor playground for 2.5 hours). There is nothing to do outside! He and I both are starting to lose it.
